IQI Applied Vocabulary and Core Standards

Begin with IQI_VOC1, which establishes the applied vocabulary for Infrastructure Quality, and then select the applicable Core Standard for the Quality Object being examined.

IQC1 addresses energy infrastructure as the Quality Object; IQI_QMS1 addresses the management used by an organization as the Quality Object.

Energy Infrastructure Context Guides

Context Guides apply IQC1 to specific energy-infrastructure systems and real operating conditions.

CONTEXT GUIDE PZN1

Onshore Natural Gas Production Zone Infrastructure

Production Function Realization, Reservoir Interfaces, and Evidence

Applies the IQI Core Standard to onshore natural gas production zones, including wells, surface facilities, Quality Factors, Indicators, and bounded Quality Claims.

CONTEXT GUIDE MNT1

Onshore Natural Gas Main Pipeline Transportation Infrastructure

Transportation Function Realization, Route Continuity, and integrity

Applies the IQI Core Standard to onshore natural gas main pipeline transportation infrastructure, including pressure, compression, reliability, interfaces, Indicators, and bounded Quality Claims.

CONTEXT GUIDE LDN1

Natural Gas Local Distribution Network Infrastructure

Delivery Function Realization, Pressure Control, and Service Interfaces

Applies the IQI Core Standard to natural gas local distribution networks, including pressure regulation, service lines, public proximity, reliability, Indicators, and bounded Quality Claims.

CONTEXT GUIDE UGS1

Natural Gas Underground Storage Infrastructure

Storage Function Realization, Deliverability, Contaiment, and Cycling

Applies the IQI Core Standard to underground natural gas storage infrastructure, including injection/withdrawal, cushion gas, reservoir or cavern integrity, Indicators, and bounded Quality Claims.

CONTEXT GUIDE LNG1

Liquefied Natural Gas Infrastructure

Cryogenic Contaiment, transfer, Send-Out, and Interface Control

Applies the IQI Core Standard to LNG infrastructure, including liquefaction/regasification systems, cryogenic storage tanks, transfer and loading interfaces, Quality Factors, Indicators, and bounded Quality Claims.
